Book Description - Balancing the Scales of Justice with Forgiveness and Repentance

To heal injury, justice must be satisfied. To avoid injuring, justice must be served.

Balancing the Scales of Justice with Forgiveness and Repentance will teach you how to forgive the actions of others, eventually leading you to the ultimate reconciliation and a renewed relationship. Author Randall J. Cecrle was involved in lay prison ministry for over fifteen years, and brings a wealth of experience and inspirational anecdotes to guide you from anger and bitterness to love and peace. With verses from Scripture and real-life examples, Cecrle demonstrates how to forgive those who have hurt you. Learn how to make changes in your life so you can avoid hurting others and become a positive influence. Cecrle also teaches you the difference between forgiveness and reconciliation-forgiveness is not forgetting, it is not about the painful emotions going away, and it is not conditional on an apology from the offender. In the final chapters, Cecrle discusses repentance, trustworthiness, whether or not we are a product of our environment, and how to change our thoughts, words, and actions. Just as it takes two to create a conflict, all parties involved must also be willing to take steps toward a peaceful resolution. Balancing the Scales of Justice with Forgiveness and Repentance will shepherd you on a spiritual journey toward reconciliation.

Customer Reviews - Balancing the Scales of Justice with Forgiveness and Repentance

Life changing God loving

Barb Baldwin (NE), June 17, 2007

This book is filled with scripture verses to compliment and explain how the author felt, acted, and carried out his own personal repentance and forgiveness. He gave us a very good foundation on which we can go through the steps of forgiveness, to balance our lives with justice. Christ paid the ultimate price, and God is satisfied that justice has been served. I found myself in several examples and was moved to prayfully ask God to guide me thru these trouble spots. I also found that I have been a blessing on someone's path.

Peace and Forgiveness

Scott (MO), September 1, 2007

This book was well written and easy to understand. I found chapters #7, 8, 10, and 20 especially applicable to many of the challenges we face in life today. For anyone who is having a difficult time explaining or understanding the why's of life and how to forgive and be at peace with themselves and others this is a must read.

Worth the purchase for you and others

Deborah J. Herrmann (MA), September 27, 2007

Not only do I have this book, I purchased it for someone else. This is a self-action book. Sharing his experiences and ideas, the book will touch in you a chord that will help you move past a hurt and toward peace. Randy's understanding of forgiveness and repentance will help anyone with relationship maintance and relationship building. The information in this book has helped me to understand what to do when others feel offended and I don't think I have done a thing. What he writes has also helped me to be better able to forgive myself. In writing this book he gives ample support for his ideas. This is a book to read with a pencil to underline and make notes of parts that speak to you, so you can refer time and again to helpful information. This is a must-read by people of all occupations and stages of life. It is a book to have and give as a gift.
